Sian joined Carmody Groarke in 2019 and for the past four years has been working as a Project Architect for the Design Museum Gent: a major renovation and extension of the museum masterplan in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage City of Ghent. Sian has also delivered the roof and envelope package for a renovation of the historic Grade II listed Power Hall at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester.
As the studio’s Sustainability Lead, Sian plays a key role in the development of sustainable and low-carbon design strategies. She is actively involved in the studio’s R&D projects including the design and certification of a low carbon brick made from waste for the Design Museum Gent and for the last year, has been acting as the industry lead in a Design Enterprise Partnership with Imperial College London, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
