Lauren is an architect and environmental activist with a real passion for community driven projects, understanding that the built environment has a crucial part to play in the mitigation of climate change. Co-founding Architects Climate Action Network has allowed Lauren to advocate for industry change by collaborating closely with other built environment professionals. Lauren has previously helped lead at strategic level on both the Steering Groups for ACAN and Architects Declare demonstrating a breadth of knowledge in coordinating campaigns and communicating sustainability beyond the construction industry. Lauren joined Westminster City Council in 2022 through the social enterprise Public Practice as a Place Shaping Officer, but transitioned to the Town Planning team in her current role as Lead Retrofit Innovation and Delivery. This brand new role sees the oversight of the Westminster Retrofit Taskforce's a council initiative, that was established in 2022, to develop an early delivery plan with complementary and innovative workstreams aimed at addressing the identified barriers and upscaling delivery at a systemic level.
