Why enter?
The AJ Retrofit & Reuse Awards are an evolution of the well-established AJ Retrofit Awards. All 14 categories have been refreshed and for three of these categories, we’re introducing live judging - taking place in front of a live jury and audience earlier in the day at the AJ Retrofit Live conference.
Benefits of entering:
- The only architecture awards event that solely focuses on retrofit.
- Shortlisted and winning practices will be announced on AJ's social media channels, reaching an audience of 620,000 followers.
- Shortlisted and winning practices will be featured on AJ’s website and in an annual awards supplement.
- Shortlisted and winning practices will be featured in emails sent to the AJ database of over 54,000 subscribers.

To view the criteria, create your account, or login with your email and password used to create your account if you have already done so. Select ‘Enter Now’ against the category you wish to view where the criteria will be displayed. If you wish to start your entry at this point any information you add will be autosaved and you can login to complete the rest of the entry at any time.
All shortlisted practices of three categories will be invited to present at AJ Retrofit Live to a panel of judges and a live audience. Each category will have its own dedicated live judging room, featuring an AJ host, sponsor, the nominated presenter/s from each shortlisted practice, and up to 100 people from the AJ Retrofit Live conference audience.
At the end of the day, winners will be decided by the judging panel and announced just a few hours later at the AJ Retrofit & Reuse Awards.
All shortlisted entries for the three live judged categories will receive one complimentary ticket to AJ Retrofit Live. This is to be used by their chosen presenter. The shortlisted practices will also be able to purchase one additional ticket at a 25% discount to bring a colleague.
