24 September | The Troxy
The Troxy is a Grade II-listed Art Deco building in East London, originally opening as a 3,250-seat cinema in 1933, designed by George Coles. After closing as a cinema in 1960, it served as the London Opera Centre from 1963, then a bingo hall in the 1980s, before being redeveloped into the live events and music venue it is today.

The East End is even closer than you think! With the Elizabeth Line now flying through London, getting to Troxy is faster than ever. It’s just 15 minutes from Paddington and 10 minutes from Tottenham Court Road. Hop on the Lizzie Line to Canary Wharf and follow signs to change for the DLR to Limehouse. Or stick with the classic route: the DLR from Bank and you’ll be with us in a flash. We’re just a six-minute stroll from Limehouse station, with both mainline rail and DLR links right on the doorstep.
Troxy is just 400m from Limehouse Station – a six-minute walk, tops. Limehouse is on the DLR and the c2c line from Fenchurch Street to Essex. With the Elizabeth Line now in the mix, you can get to Canary Wharf from Paddington in around 17 minutes. From there hop on a quick DLR to Limehouse and when you arrive, take the Bekesbourne Street exit – Troxy is right down the road.
DLR trains run from Bank, Tower Gateway, Stratford and Canary Wharf. And yes, Troxy is in Zone 2 if you’re using a travelcard.
The following buses either go past Troxy or serve the local area:
