For nearly two decade, Sanya Polescuk has been the principal of a practice well known for breathing new life into old buildings. She takes cues from the existing buildings and sites, imaginatively transforming these into award winning habitats with a minimal carbon footprint. She has made the practice particularly skilled in applications of sustainable technologies to historic environments and has given talks on the issue at RIBA and CSM.
Current work includes redevelopments of historic buildings in and around London. Awards include: AJ: Retrofit Award, NLA:Don’t Move Improve and Camden Design Award.
In addition to running a practice, Sanya has been mentoring architecture students from London Universities, as well as chairing the first North London’s Community Land Trust
