Why attend?
Join us for this year’s awards, an evening of celebration with plenty of opportunities to connect, share ideas and toast the outstanding achievements of the retrofit and reuse community. Enjoy an extended drinks reception, a shorter seated programme and more time to network. Even if you haven’t entered the awards, it’s the perfect night to meet peers and be part of the celebration.
Venue
The Troxy is a Grade II-listed Art Deco building in East London, originally opened as a 3,250-seat cinema in 1933, designed by George Coles. After closing as a cinema in 1960, it served as the London Opera Centre from 1963, then a bingo hall in the 1980s, before being redeveloped into the live events and music venue it is today, which opened its doors again in 2006.

Getting there
The East End’s even closer than you think. With the Elizabeth Line now flying through London, getting to Troxy is easier (and faster) than ever. It’s just 15 minutes from Paddington, 10 from Tottenham Court Road, and only 6 minutes from Whitechapel – where you can hop on a quick DLR to Limehouse. Or stick with the classic route: jump on the DLR from Bank and you’ll be with there in a flash. It’s just a two-minute stroll from Limehouse station, with both mainline rail and DLR links right on the doorstep.
By train
Troxy is just 400m from Limehouse Station – a six-minute walk, tops. Limehouse is on the DLR and the c2c line from Fenchurch Street to Essex. With the Elizabeth Line now in the mix, you can get to Canary Wharf from Paddington in around 17 minutes. From there hop on a quick DLR to Limehouse and when you arrive, take the Bekesbourne Street exit – Troxy is right down the road.
DLR trains run from Bank, Tower Gateway, Stratford and Canary Wharf. And yes, Troxy is in Zone 2 if you’re using a travelcard.
